![]() Karen gives her regards, but warns that she makes the other Karens look like sit-down-and-be-quiet good girls from the Boomer generation by comparison. In effect, the rewards (both cosmetic and power-related) and difficulty of 100% of the game’s content is now being tuned to accommodate the top 10% of the playerbase, who want to enjoy power progression in their preferred content, while insisting that all other content in the game be stripped of power rewards and tuned to their preferred level of challenge, to serve as side activities for their cosmetic rewards.īut thank you, Blizzard, for showing me that 9.2 and probably 10.0 are going to be no better than what we have gotten in Shadowlands so far, so that I know not to resub and waste my time and money.īy the way, it is a good thing that the professional WoW players who called for the Mage Tower not to be nerfed also agreed to help you earn back the millions of players that this disaster of an expansion is going to continue to cost you, right? No? Oh, so your MMO is going to be more of like a specialty service for a small subset of the players it had before WoD? Good luck with that business model.įelicia says “bye”, too, and that you can’t have her money. Not only have they removed any semblance of power-related rewards for world content, soloable content, and casual content, but they have also allowed hardcore players to dictate the difficulty and gatekeep the cosmetic rewards of what little solo-oriented and casual-oriented content remain in the game. ![]() So basically, these changes are going to turn a few close calls into victories for only the players that are almost there, while the majority of players are still going to have to bang their head against their keyboards for hours at a time if they want to have any chance of success.īlizzard has shown their true colors. As to whether or not it outweights the other two talents on this tier remains to be seen.Īt this time, I am unsure if it affected by damage boost Debuffs (ex., Flag Carrier debuff), but as it is affected by bubbles, I would assume so.Instead of the devs doing comprehensive, appropriate tuning for the Mage Tower challenges, the changes as announced are extremely minor and only affect a handful of mechanics in a handful of challenges. Do not assume this spell to be your main damaging spell due to the above disadvantages, however, it is still useful for sniping low HP enemies, or opening up on someone coming out of an immunity (Ice Block, Divine Shield, Cyclone, etc). Since it still only receives a bonus from Haste and does not have Ignite, and in PvP you have roughly~ 4 seconds with haste to cast this, it will take 12~ seconds of hard casting to kill an enemy that receives no heals or defensive. However, due to the slow movement of the projectile, a well-time Spellsteal (when applicable) will get around this. Ignore Pain), making it fairly weak against smaller healthpool classes with bubbles (Ex., Demonology Warlocks, or Frost Mages), as it will do 35% of their total HP (does not factor in 'extra' hp from shields), much of which will be absorbed by the shield. ![]() It is also worth noting that this spell does not go through shields and is affected by damage reductions (ex. This is the only combat Mage spell that does not work with Icy Floes and I am unsure if this is a bug or intentional due to the strength of the spell. If you're running with Pyroclasm and a proc is up, you'll get more damage out of a hard-casted Pyro over this spell.Ĭomment by KalthramisAs of patch 7.1, this spell does not work with Icy Floes, weakening both talents. Despite its slow travel time, if you see the graphic already moving toward you, it's too late to counter it. ![]() Spell Reflection abilities will only counter the ability while its being cast, not after. It also can be casted before a burst phase/Combustion, and will hit in the middle of your burst phase with proper distance. It has situational use as a talent choice due to its cast time, but is strong for burning down Tanks and geared Healers, and sneaking casts off when you're not being focused. However, the benefit from Haste is substantial due to its very long base cast time of 4.5 seconds. Gear wise, this means that only Haste benefits it. ![]() Very slow travel time with a very noticeable spell graphic. No gains from Intellect, Critical Strike, Mastery or Versatility, or any damage buff.It does not proc or contribute to Ignite.Comment by KanariyaUpdating this comment for BfA as this talent is more useful now than it was in the beginning of Legion when this comment was posted. ![]()
